Does anyone have a good caramel recipe for making caramel apples? I usually buy the Peters caramel in the 5 lb. block, but it is getting too expensive for my freebies. I saw a recipe on allrecipes.com, but a few people had trouble getting the caramel to set. I definitely need a caramel recipe that sets quickly and firmly, chewy but not hard. Thanks in advance.
