Icing tubes out of parchment paper? How do I do it? DO you make a cone and then put your tips in like you would do with a regular bag? How do you keep the cone together while you are putting the tip and rings in?

I'm about to put together this safari/jungle cake with allt he animals and trees.

I buy the Wilton parchment paper in the box... I shape into a cone shape, snip off the end, but not too much so the tip will stay in the bag, put the icing down into the "made" bag, then roll the top of the bag down to keep the air off of the icing ... works really well icon_smile.gif

Yes, you start with a triangle, make the cone shape, fold over the top where the three corners come together to hold it (I sometimes put one of those baby staples in it). Drop your connector down into the bag, mark where the lowest ring is, cut off to where the mark is, push the connector all the way down through the hole, add your tip and the ring on the outside. Add your icing as usual and the roll the bag down to push the icing out just as you would with any other icing bag.

I think if you go to the Wilton website, or baking911.com there will be diagrams there how to fold the triangle...I thought I'd saved it to my computer but guess not. Hope this helps you. veejay
