When I took a class at a Community College, one of our assignments was to "demonstrate or tell the class how to make something" and our class followed the food-theme. Two ladies either from Ukraine or Croatia brought in this wonderfully tasty cake they called Cake Kieve. I must have been too busy enjoying the cake because when I look back at my notes they aren't helpfull. however; I remember the cake had a walnut meringue in the center. Anyone hear of this cake or know how to make it? know someone who knows how to make it? I understand that it is a "special occasion cake" because of the time that is invested in creating the cake.

here's a couple of descriptions

I found this in a google search off of a forum... it's in russian http://slastenka.ru/tortkiev.html but there might be a free translation site on the internet you could use, unless you know Russian or know someone who does.
