I made cake balls from a cake that crumbled. I took them to the teachers at school b/c today is the last day of school.

Well I made them with cake, powdered sugar, cocoa, almonds, a little buttercream and a little amaretto for flavor.

Well the librarian is going around the school telling everyone I am trying to get all the teahcers liquored up by giving them liquored cake ball. I only put about a shot in with 4 cups of cake, 1/2 cup cocoa and other ingridents.

I am so upset b/c I am the VP of the PTO and have a reputation to uphold up there.

Is it bad that I put the amaretto in there for the teachers at school?

I would have used just amaretto flavoring instead of the liquior just to keep people from spreading bad words about you. I personally don't think that amount would get anyone "liquored up".

It was a nice thought that may have backfired. It happens now and then.

It is probably not a good idea to put alcohol in anything going to a school. The 'zero tolerance' policies can be very strict.

Also, even traces of alcohol can be dangerous for people in recovery or taking certain antibiotics.
