I don't think the husband was at fault. No one is. My motto is... If you want it; keep it picked up. I have thrown things away on purpose that my children decided to leave in the floor. Some expensive, some not. This is an accident. He should have looked, the boxes shouldn't have been on the floor.

I am so sorry your husband did this. I can totally sympathize with you because my husband does it to me ALL THE TIME!!!! I can't understand how hard it is for him to look in a bag or a box before tossing it. He once threw out 2 bag fulls of things I bought for my sister's bachelorette party....that was only the beginning. 5 1/2 years later of things thrown out carelessly really adds up.

I think you should mention it to him......I mean do you throw his bags, boxes, socks...whatever...out everytime he leaves them around?

I got one for ya - my husband THREW OUT his tax refund last year!!! He never REALLY looks at the mail - he just throws everything out! Looked like some kind of government crap I guess!!!

However, when I WANT him to take out the trash - it's almost an ongoing fight. Our Christmas tree from LAST YEAR is STILL in our back yard b/c he's too lazy to cut it up and take it to my parent's (we don't have yard waste removal and we don't want to pay $30 to dispose of the tree ourselves - but he could take it to my parents' house and dispose of it for free!) NEXT year we will NOT miss the trash day for trees!!!!

Frankly, I do believe you should tell him what he did. People need to think before they do things in anger. Period.

Well, I called Sugarcraft and told them what
happened. I didn't expect much. They did
sympathize with me and sent me out an another
order, minus things I didn't need, and didn't
charge me for shipping. The lady on the
phone said, "Don't feel bad, A customer of
ours had her $2000 chocolate fountain in a box
next to her trash and her husband threw it out!"
I almost tossed my cookies. So $136
wasn't that bad. I just have to put my cake toys
away right away.

I hate it when my man suffers from rectal cranial inversion (head up his butt). Such a hard condition to diagnose/treat. I usually find a good shock...somehting like "Hey bonehead, you just tossed out over 100 dollars" usually rectifies the situation, at least temporarily. Glad you can re purchase your stuff icon_smile.gif

My husband is perfect in every way. I worship the ground he walks on. He is my reason for living. He is so great and handsome...and funny too. I live to make him happy.

Okay, working as a school secretary I have seen some "interesting notes." I would definately need to make a handwriting comparison to this one. icon_wink.gif

Also, I think your husband has redeemed himself. When I put away my husbands a million and one tools and he can't find them I just tell him "I put it someplace safe", which I'm sure I did but just can't remember. He still loves me!

If my husband ever picked anything up and threw it away without me nagging him to do it I would absolutely die of a heart attack. That is no exaggeration. Me on the other hand, I have thrown away so much stuff that he actually needed that if he did ever throw away anything of mine, I would have to suck it up and just get over it. I am sorry about your losing all your goodies though. $136.00 dosen't grow on trees. Maybe if you did tell him what he did then he would feel so bad that he would reorder for you.

But here is the thing - - - I throw things out all the time then I find them in a bag or box in his pole shed! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I jsut have to chime in - any adult who does something as childish as that in anger or in a tantrum needs help. He got MAD and threw it away? Why? to teach you a lesson? you're not a child. he needs to grow up.
