So I ordered from Sugarcraft and actually got my order on time
with everything in it. Pearl cutters, lace molds and push flower molds.
I put the box down on the floor and my DH(DUMB HUSBAND) threw
the box in the recycle bend, It went out last wednesday.
$136.00 down the toilet. I cried so hard I lost my voice.
GOD I WANT TO DIE!!!

He doesnt' know. I know he would feel bad.
He was mad that I left the boxes on the floor so instead of looking through them, he threw them
out in anger.

It might help to look on the positive side....at least he takes out the trash...just sometimes he can be too efficient. I have to fight my boyfriend to get him to take out the trash. In all the effort of constantly reminding him and moving the bag into his path of travel frequently I could actually just take it out myself and save us both aggravation and time. LOL

Yikes!!!!!!!! I'm sooooo sorry to hear that. I have a husband that likes to just throw things away without looking in the bag or box and have lost quite a few things myself. icon_cry.gif

Awe..all of your stuff must have been light as a feather. UNLESS he did this with malicious intent!!!! I sure hope not. My mother has gotten rid of some of my stuff before...when I needed it, it had already went to GOODWILL! UGH! I feel your pain! I wanted to go to the area goodwills just to find the stuff!

OH NO icon_sad.gif

I'M SO SORRY

ARE YOU GOING TO TELL HIM

IT MIGHT MAKE HIM THINK TWICE BEFORE JUST THROWING SOMETHING OUT OR DOING ANYTHING IN ANGER---

I SAY THIS BECAUSE MY DH WAS VERY VERY MAD AT OUR SON ONE DAY, THAT HE JUMPED IN HIS TRUCK, THREW IT IN REVERSE & FORGOT THAT THE TRAILER WAS STILL ATTACHED--TRAILER JACK-KNIFED & HIS BRAND NEW TRUCK HAD A NICE SIZE GASH IN IT---COULDN'T BLAME OUR SON FOR THE COST TO FIX IT EITHER

AGAIN IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW SORRY HE IS--IT WON'T BRING BACK THE COST...

WOW! What is it with men and temper tantrums? Must be all that testosterone.
On the other hand, MY DH never throws ANYTHING out...ever.
Our house is bulging like an overfilled layer cake with all his "I might need this someday" clutter.
You can't live with 'em...
and you ...well you know icon_wink.gif
Just kidding.
Really.

And I do not see anything positive about the fact that she lost something she paid $136.00 worth of stuff.. who cares about him !!!

He threw it, therefore he is at fault..he could've at least ask first ! icon_sad.gif

If i told my husband that he threw out all that stuff and that it was worth $136 he would pee his pants. Especially if he did it out of anger. Then, he would put the blame back on me for not putting my stuff away. If I would have put the box away, he wouldn't have gotten angry. That would be the point where I jump on top of him and beat him senseless. You should tell him. He needs to know that his anger cost ya'll some major cash. Maybe he'll think twice before he does crap like that again.

uhhhhh! I am so sorry. I can so relate. This thread has brought back bad memories of me thinking about all the stuff my DH has thrown out. Once my Dad had been doing a lot of carpenter work at our house and he left his ladder over here, like 6 months passed and DH decided to clean up a bunch of junk that was left in our back yard from the previous owner. Well dad's ladder was right there with all that stuff and it all got thrown away! Come to find out it was like a $200 ladder. I hate it when my husband starts cleaning up. Another time I had mentioned to DH that our computer was messed up and I had just been using the lap top. I take a nap one sunday afternoon. He "cleans" up the office and throws away my computer!!! Since I had not been using it I did not notice it was missing for a few days and by then it was in the landfill. (did I mention that 2 of my brother-in-laws FIX computers for a living) If it was up to him everything we own would be at the landfill. I will say I do have a great husband and I love him very much, but this drives me so crazy about him. We have probably fought more about him throwing stuff out than anything else!!! Sorry about the long post....

I'm so sorry this happened to you and I'm sorry he's going to feel bad (although I doubt he will feel as badly as you do!) however, you need to tell him that his impatience with you putting your items away just cost you and him $136. Then suggest to him that before he flies off the handle again and costs you both more money possibly he could help you by checking boxes and/or bags before throwing something away!

THis reminds me of something my hubby did. We're in bed about to go to sleep one night, and i ask him, "hey such and such a thing[cant remember what it was right now] was in our office this afternoon and it's not there anymore, it was for a cake, did you put it somewhere??"
He jumps out of bed and runs out the door. icon_eek.gif I was wondering what the heck was going on icon_confused.gif , i got out of bed, and went outside to find what he was doing. There he was in the front yard with our bin on it's side, and him going through the trash, "Sorry i threw it out" he says.
hahahahahahaha

i must say, he's NEVER done something like that again. He asks if he can throw stuff out now, and mostly i just tell him when stuff is rubbish so he can take it out, rubbish and laundy are his jobs icon_biggrin.gif

I think you should definetly tell your husband what he did. It wasnt your fault, he has to know.

Sorry for your loss, but I just wish my DH would clean SOMETHING around here I am tired of doing all the housework.

I could leave a box in the floor for 6 months before he would ever even notice it much less throw it out!! icon_mad.gif

I would tell him though, he needs to know about the 136.00 LOSS!!!

I'd ask him what he did with the box with his valuables (fill in the blank....old baseball cards? lucky whatever?.......etc.) that you lovingly placed in bubble wrap for safe keeping. Evil, I know, but I would have to find some fun in all this heartache!

Alright kids, so I talked to him when he came
home. I said, "Remember last wednesday when
you decided(for the first time mind you) to put
out the recycle bend when I said not to? His
reaction was a little dumb founded. You took everything around the bend because the 2 boxes were on the floor, not in the bend. 'yes' his reply.
You didn't look in the postal box where 136$ of
cake toys were in it. He was very upset at himself
and told me to order another order. I said thank you and please look or ask before you decide to
throw something out! I looked on sugarcrafts
website last night and all the prices went up
on the pearl makers. Oh well. Thanks
for letting me vent.

I feel for you. My DH saw a box from the postal service sitting on the dining room table and thought it needed to go to the curb. Of course, he didn't bother to look in it. There went 3 pans I just bought on ebay. I didn't realize it until a couple of days later when I went to make a cake! He felt horrible. Now he looks in all bags and boxes before he throws them out.

hey that sounds like my husband, turn right around back at you! I would definately tell him, he needs to know how much $$ he wasted and all because he was ticked off that something wasn't put away. I bet you he will think twice before doing that again! icon_cry.gif I feel so bad for you!

Well I'm glad you two ironed that one out. I know how it is waiting for that box from sugarcraft, and hoping everything is in it. Anyway Delores is very nice (from sugarcrafts) and maybe you can explain your situation to her in an email and maybe she can cut you a break on the pearl makers. It's worth a try! Just a thought. BTW I love your sweet sixteen cake. very pretty

Show her this thread.

The advertisement alone for sugarcraft would be enough to perhaps have them think about allowing you to repurchase the whole order as same.
