I AM MAKING A CAKE FOR A PARTY BUT THEY DO NOT WANT A CHOCOLATE CAKE BUT THEY WANT A CHOCOLATE FROSTING.

DO YOU THINK A WHITE ALMOND SOUR CREAM CAKE WOULD BE OK WITH A CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM ICING.

THANKS DIAMONDSMOM

I've made the white almond sour cream cake and used chocolate mousse for the filling and it was really good. A really good chocolate buttercream would probably be just fineicon_smile.gif

Sounds delicious! Maybe you could add almond extract to the chocoalte buttercream to tie the flavors together.

THATS GREAT. I WAS AFRAID THE FLAVOURS MAY NOT TIE IN. BUT I WOULD CERTAINLY ADD THE ALMOND EXTRACT IN THE CHOCOLATE FROSTING TO TIE IT IN SOME. THANKS A LOT

That's exactly what I was thinking. Add a bit of almond extract to the chocolate buttercream and it should be absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!!! I've got to try this out myself icon_smile.gif
