HI Everyone! Need some serious help...

I made the graduation cap with the wonder mold and the cardboard covered in fondant using Wilton fondant.

When I went to cover the top cardboard with fondant and flipped it over to cover the underside the edges all cracked when I tried to fold them over!

Anything I can do to prevent this from happening again next time?

Thanks!

I use chocolate, just pick the appropiate size square pan and pour some melted chocolate wafers in the desired color.

My guess about the sides cracking is either your board flexed on you, or your fondant was too dry when you tried to fold it over the edge.

Maybe you could soften it in the microwave to make it more pliable. a few seconds at a time and knead until it's nice and workable then apply to cardboard.

Is your fondant rolled too thin?
