Hello,
I'm planning to make a 2-tier, 8" and 10" cake both 4" high. Will MMF be ok to use to cover the cakes? I've never tried MMF before on stacked cakes. I'm worried that the MMF will sag on the bottom cake.
Will MMF be ok for making bows? I've heard that it stretches much more than the store bought fondant and may lose its shape in humid weather.
Thanks!
don't know anything about this but I am wanting to learn-so I am just trying to add my two cents to keep tack of the updates
I think your cake will be fine with MMF. If you dowel the bottom cake good, it should not sag at all, because the weight will be on the dowels, not the cake. I see no problem with it.

I used MMF on an anniversary cake and made a bow in MMF on a present cake and had no problem at all. I love MMF much better than fondant.
I have only used MMF as a fondant on my cakes... it isnt any different really on a stacked cake...meaning it shouldnt sag ... i am doing another one in 2 weeks with a large bow on top.. i have added gumtex to a batch to make the bow harden and keep shape... there is a tutorial on this site for MMF....
Does anyone have a recipe for MMF?
This is the link for it
