This Rubik's Cube cake has been a pain in my tushie!!

So, I take all my thawed cakes out of the plastic bags and foil this morning and start looking at them. They don't really look like 12", but how it that possible. I unwrap all the saran and of course a little bounces back, but not much. Somehow, they all shrunk. Most of the time it doesn' tmatter so much, but when you are making an EXACT cube, it kind of does. I should have frozen them in the pans long enough to be able to rain the full shape. I don't even know how it was possible to shrink in the freezer. Honestly. I was very aware when I was wrapping, not to pull hard, not to distort them. Argh! It is what it is.....I'm just hoping that all my fondant squares are going to fit. Good thing i have LOTS of icing! But I need to cut all my boards a little big smaller. Oh joy. I"m just in a mood this morning, don't mind me. thumbsdown.gif

I had two shrink this week also! One shrunk in the freezer, the other shrunk in the pan after it cooled. Maybe it's the recipe I used??? Anyone have an explanation??

MINE ALWAYS SHRINK AFTER BAKING & COOLING, BUT LIKE STATED BEFORE--THAT IS USUALLY NOT A PROBLEM, I COULD SEE HOW THIS WOULD BE---GOOD LUCK------I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE CUBE----
