Does anyone know how many cups are in one pound of icing sugar? How about one pound of cream cheese? I am Canadian and we use the metric system. I want to make the recipe for crusting cream cheese frosting but I don't know how much to use of the ingredients. HELP PLEASE!!

Well dry and liquid are measured different. There are 16 ounces in a pound so each cup is 8 ounces. And I believe that cream cheese is sold in 8 ounce packages. There is so much to consider in conversion like wet and dry. Does it call for one cup? And icing sugar has been sifted so the weight may not match in a cup mesurement.

Approximately four cups of powdered sugar to a pound. Sorry, I'm not sure about cream cheese.
