I'm planning ahead for July when I'll be making the wedding cake and dozens of cookies. Has anyone frozen the No Fail cookies with the Royal Icing or been able to store them adequately for a week or so? Thanks.

I have mine in the freezer in vacuum bags but you can use press and seal to keep the air out, in the freezer for a wedding. they have been in there for about a month and I took one out to test and it was fine. ( the tree, flip flops and hearts on my photos)

I have frozen decorated cookies a couple of times with great success.

What I did was wrap them individually in cookie bags and tie with ribbon (I was doing that anyway) and then placed the whole bunch of them in a flat rubbermaid container and stuck them in the freezer. They were in there a couple of weeks with no problem.

When I defrosted them, I just took the container out of the freezer and let it sit on the counter for a couple of hours. When I opened it, they were fine, no condensation or anything and tasted great. I also stuck a couple unwrapped in that container and they were fine, too.

the cookies will be fine, just be sure that they're sealed really well. thumbs_up.gif
