Today has been a disaster!!! Many Many things and not enough time. I was able to come home just long enough to get a cake in the oven and leave. Don't worry my DH took it out for me. Well, luckily I had my cell phone on vibrate because while sitting in a funeral he calls and leaves me a message that my cake has fallen apart (no saving it). After feeding the family, delivering a cake, and making an appearance at a friends gathering, I finally have the cake in the oven. What is the quickest way to cool it so that I am not up till 5am. Thanks for ANY suggestions!

And thanks for letting me vent a little. I feel better already icon_biggrin.gif

I wrap it in saran wrap and put in freezer for about an hour. its cools quickly, but keeps moisture.

set it on a cooling rack in the freezer. Depending on the size, I can usually start to ice it in less than 30 minutes.
