Any suggestions for making a tie dye cake with buttercream frosting? ALso, can you use the brush embroidery technique on a cake iced with buttercream?

Buy some spray colors, and spray a pattern onto the cake.
I would do the brush embroidery very carefully on crusted buttercream.
