A while back someone was trying this by adding shredded fresh carrots and spices. I would like to know if, & how well it worked. I am contemplating using doctored box mixes for a wedding cake order I have. I am not up to making the cake from scratch and thinking if this works, bonus! The cake I'm making will have a 14, 12, 10 & 6 " cakes....hoping to make this into a whimsical cake...... I plan on trying one this weekend just to see how it works, but would love to hear from anyone who can offer tips and ideas. Thanks for sharing

I haven't tried this but I bet if you added at least 1 cup of shredded carrots for each cake mix extender recipe and 1-2 tsp each of the spices it would work just fine.
