Must be the bren or the lighting? It is way too yellow compared to my shortening. I added a little violet and nothing! I even let the butter beat for a while nothing, must be the butter I wonder if the white color would work and wonder if I can get it at Walmart?

Did you use a different brand of butter? I find the BC to be a light yellow, normally. I've never used the "white" so I can't help really. I guess this is a BUMP!

Wilton has a "white" additive that is supposed to lighten and brighten BC..... I even have a bottle of it, but haven't tried it yet..... I know MY Walmart does not carry it, but they don't carry very many cake supplies in general.....

I've used the Wilton whitening stuff...works pretty good. It takes quite a bit to turn white, but at the very least, it does lighten it up enough to not look so yellow. It goes fast, too.

did you use regular vanilla or clear vanilla? I ran out of clear once and had to use regular and it had a yellow tint to it.
