OK, thanks to a helpful CC member, I found the cathedral cake kit on ebay. Now I need suggestions on how to make this massive cake. In the Wilton Magazine it only shows the cake advertising the cake kit, it doesn't show any cake sizes or decorating tips, or how to go about setting this cake up. Have any of you ever done this cake or have any ideas as of how to do it? Thanks so much for your help@!@

Good for you, I mean finding the kit (it's been discontinued). Last September when I committed to a bride for the cake, trust me, I was plenty disappointed when I couldn't get the kit. So, I made it out of cardboard, painted it, added the royal icing details and here's the picture. She loved it!

I'm sure she did. I found the kit on ebay and was very excited since it had been discontinued. Your cake is gorgeous. The bride is wanting the cake in the Wilton book wich looks like it has4 cakes on the bottom, the satellite cakes, and then the square cake on top of the satellite cake and then another cake on top of it, but I don't know the sizes. Does anyone have the directions on how to make this make, in my Wilton magazine it only shows the picture, in advertising the cake kit and doesn't give any of the details on how to make the cake. Thanks so much for all of your help!

It was sold last year I think, or the year before. I am needing the directions on how to make it. The one pictured above in the center. That's the one that the bride is wanting. I haven't received the kit yet so I don't know if it comes with both the entrance and the steeple or just the steeple. I don't know yet. Thanks for all of the help and for taking time out of your schedules to help me out. Thanks again. misty

As pictured left to right cake 1) titled "Cathedral of Dreams" was in the 1993 Wilton Yearbook page 76. 2) titled "Westminster" was on the cover of "Wedding Cakes - A Wilton Album". I don't have the cover of the book anymore, but the book is pictured in the 1991 yearbook, but not in the 1985. 3) Also titled "Cathedral of Dreams" is in 1993 "Wilton Bridal Cakes". Boy, have I dated myself!

Ebay also has lots of wilton books. Maybe you could fine one for that year on it.

Good luck!
