I'm going to bake some cookies for the girls in my daughter's ballet class to give as gifts after their recital. I need some ideas on how to package them for a nice presentation.

I have only baked for friends and family (so far) and usually just wrap the cookies individually in cello bags with a pretty ribbon or curly ribbon around the top. I have put them on the table on plates or given them as favors.

I was thinking of about 5 cookies per child. I have never baked cookies with sticks or made cookie bouquets, which I guess I could try, but it might be a bit cumbersome handing out 7 cookie bouquets in pots or something that evening.

Has anyone given just 5 individually wrapped cookies as a gift? How do you package them so they look fancy if they are not on sticks?

Thanks.

P.S. I was thinking about making up some sort of card and attaching them to the cookies (if they come out good). Maybe it would bring me an order...

When I have several cookies to give, I package them in the pleated/gusseted bags with a ribbon. (the kind you can use for party favors in the party supply sections at stores) I don't think I've gotten more than 3-4 cookies in a bag though.

oh - I have a Daisy Scout cookie in my photos that I attached cards to. You could do something like that and stick your business card on the back.

Can't wait to see your finished product! thumbs_up.gif

It's simple but tasteful:
I get regular ceran-wrap and and put 5 cookies back to back and wrap them up tightly. I print out a label using a label kit from WalMart with an event fitting message, change the ink to something colorful, and then use the label as my "tape" to tape the ends of the ceran-wrap down. I then wrap a raffia bow from front to back of the "package". Voila!

You could use a candy box - get a candy box for the size of cookies you have. You can even get the window boxes - so the girls can see the cookies inside. I have candy boxes that measure 8 in by 12 in.

They also have clear plastic boxes which are great for showing off what's inside. They come in many sizes. They can sometimes be found in the wedding section of craft stores. I had to order mine on-line though, but I don't know how much time you have.

I made image cookies this weekend and put them in a little baggie tied with a ribbon and a little tag I made. You could do something similar placing more than one cookie in the bag. The image cookies are in my gallery.

In the past, I've put multiple cookies in little take out boxes, Printed out cute labels with my information, (you could add ballet clip art), and tie with a ribbon. This would be easy for the girls to take home, and the parents to take notice as well.

That's a great idea for something like this. I kind of forgot that the girls will probably be carrying a lot; flowers, clothing, etc. You wouldn't have to worry about your hard work breaking or getting squished. I've seen take-out boxes at the Dollar Tree store.

Can't wait to see what you come up with projectqueen!
