Hi. I'm trying to perfect the chocolate chip cookie. I'm getting ready to try another batch of cookies, but I'm trying to figure out what to do differently with this batch. My previous batch I just did 1 tsp of baking soda. But I've seen a few chocolate chip cookie recipes that call for both baking soda and baking powder. I was thinking of doing this, but I wasn't sure how much of each to add. Some recipes used equal amounts of both (1 tsp each), while others use half as much baking soda to baking powder (1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder). I'm wondering which way I should go. Basically I want a cookie that will be soft and chewy. Thanks.

My favorite Choc Chip recipe has equal amounts of both. 1 tsp each to 3 cups flour.

I use equal amounts of baking soda and baking powder too. Mine come out fantastic and I can't make them fast enough.
