Deleting Members aka NON-Users?

Thread Starter
I was just looking around & kinda catching up on things & was looking at the memberlist. I dont know if this would help speed up the site or not but...We have TONS of NON-ACTIVE Members on the site. Is there any reason why they are still hanging around? There are 50 members to each page, with over 3/4 who havent ever posted & alot of them who havent posted in a year. Would it benefit to get rid of them or does it really make a difference? Just thought I would ask! [/b]

I think a lot of members don't post, but use CC as a reference, sort of like a great cake book.

If they are not on line I doubt they are making this place slower. I think many people just like to read and look and don't post.

I was a member for over a year (and was here at least once every few days looking at pictures) before I first posted... and sometimes I wish I had just maintained that silence. lol

I belong to a forum where you have to log in at least once in 6 months otherwise ur deleted. No need to post, just log on. I dont think it makes a difference to the speed, that moderator likes to clean up evey now and then icon_biggrin.gif

I've also noticed that there are some people who are members since 2005 and then all of a sudden, poof, two years later, they make their very first comment (non-chalant comment it seems) on a forum. Always made me want to say, "welcome to CC" but then again, they've been around longer than I have!!

Oh, and then there are the regulars who were with CC for a long time--like RisqueBusiness. I'm not sure what happened to her, but I know she did exist and wasn't a figment of my imagination because her name is still listed in the memberlist (although she is Not Registered). It's nice that her pictures are still listed (along with her postings) since she contributed to this site.
