I just bought some Vanilla Butter Nut extract and I am wondering if you would share your favorite ways or recipes to use it with.

Thanks!

How much do you add to your pound cake? I don't want it to be overpowering. I am not sure how strong this extract is. I usually add around 1 T in a pound cake with 3 C of flour and sugar.

my dad's favorite cake is a butternut cake, this is what he wants for father's day-this cake is VERY sweet (icing)

what's so funny about your request is that i'm going to trick him this father's day and make a box cake & add the extract & doctor it some, the other is from scratch & i really love making it, i just wont have the time or money this year

i can't find the recipe to tell you how much extract to use icon_cry.gif --i'm looking...

i hope i can fool him--it's just that the icing makes the cake & i'm going to make it--if i can find the stupid book icon_razz.gif

i did a quick internet search, found a recipe that called for 2T for cake 1T for icing

I've used it in my chocolate chip cookies and they come out very good. Just use the same amount as I would have vanilla.
