i just borrowed the book yesterday...do you have suggestions on which recipe to try?
what are the best recipes in this book?
thanks
The Honey Bun Cake is a favorite at my house. The first time I made it, I followed the directions and used a 9 X 13 pan. Since then we prefer it in Bundt pan. This is one cake that I am asked to make and is always a hit. I prefer to let my cakes sit at least 1 day for the flavors to develop, but this cake is best warm out of the oven. I always add 1 small box of vanilla or french vanilla pudding to my cake. I also like to add 1 tsp. of vanilla extract.

If you're in the mood for making a cheesecake, the Chocolate Mocha Swirl Cheesecake is really good (especially the Devil's Food Choc. crust!). I've made the basic yellow cake, which got rave reviews, along with the ever-so-moist chocolate cake (I think that's what it's called ). Another hit is the strawberry applesauce cake, which I pair with the white chocolate glaze.
I like "Bride's White Cake", the Carrot cake recipe, and the Devishly Good Chocolate cake.
I love all the cakes!!! My favorite has got to be the Chocolate Chip Cherry Pound Cake with Milk Chocolate Glaze! Very Rich!
You can get most of her recipes off her website, too. That's where I got my Italian Cream Cake Recipe.
If you like chocolate cake then you may want to try the Darn Good Chocolate Cake. I think it's fantastic.
I like the Darn Good Chocolate Cake, too, but I prefer it with a German chocolate or chocolate fudge mix instead of devil's food.
I should mention that the Darn Good Chocolate Cake instructions say to bake it in a Bundt pan, but I often bake it in 8-inch layers, split them into four layers, fill them with chocolate mousse and cover the whole thing with chocolate ganache. It is so good.
Sometimes I use milk chocolate chips instead of semi sweet.
