My favorite decorating tip is an old one that I think is discontinued. It is an Ateco 1B star tip. Has anyone seen this tip or something close? It is not the Wilton 1B.
It has 9 teeth ~3/16" long. The opening at the base of the teeth is ~3/8." The whole tip is about 2" tall.
I would love to buy some more if anyone knows where to find them. Mine are getting worn out.

Can you take a picture of it? It sounds like the big plastic tips I use for my cupcakes.

Have done some eBay and Google searches, but didn't find it. I guess I can put it oon my ebay Watch list. Thanks for the suggestions!
Is it possible the tip was just renumbered?
There was a tip on this site that seems close...

It could be renumbered but I don't think it is any of these. They all have even numbers of teeth. It's hard to tell how big they are from the top view.

Hey guys vixterfsu did some detective work for me and found out that it has been re-numbered.
Here is the answer she got from http://www.pastrysampler.com
"...the Ateco B series is now the 860 series. So, the Ateco 1B star tip would be the 861. (I counted the teeth on the 861 and it does have the 9 small teeth, and is about 2" tall.)
That was a great queston, and I thank you for asking it! I'm sure others may be curious about this info, too, so I'll add it to my Tips Conversion page for reference to everybody. See the bottom of the chart; I added the info there."
Thanks for your help everyone and especially vixterfsu!
