Hi all, the cake was ordered by a customer who wanted a XL bottle, it was chocolate cake with MMF decorations...
I charged her $40. do u think it's ok?

it was 12" the base and the bottle was 8"

$40 sounds about right to me. That's a lot of custom artwork. Good job!

Very good job!!! Me personally, I think I would have gotten more - maybe 60-65. It could have a lot to do with where you're located vs where I'm located though

Thank u all, 4 ur help ... I live in Guatemala, and I did lower the price for these customer coz' she's my co-worker.

I think it is very low based on amount of servings and detail. I would have charged the same as my tiered wedding cakes $1.75/serving and assuming it yields 50 servings(party sized) it would have been $87.50 and I am in a town of 30,000 in IA. Our local bakery charges for tiered party cakes the same as weddings $1.50/serving for buttercream and $2.25/seriving for fondant.

it took me a lot of work, yeah i feel a bit bad, coz i think the price was too low, but we all learn, so for next time !
