Hola!
Well, I am going to be doing a 1/2 sheet american flag cake....
I will follow the tutorial on this website!!
Its for a man i used to work for at Merrill Lynch. he has been called to duty in iraq.
Iam not charging.. its a way to get my name out there though right? did any of you do it that way?
Im kinda worried on how i will do the red lines on the cake.
I cannot achieve getting the red color that i need!!

To get a really red, red, use Americolor. You can get a very nice red with this product. Also, if having problems with getting a black color, use their brand. To me, it's the best on the market.

You can always used tube icing if you end up not getting a color you're happy with. I've had to resort to that before for borders.

That's only if you're special ordering a color not listed. I get mine in about 3 days.

Another option is to ice your cake with white and roll out strips of red fondant/gumpaste and lay on top to make the stripes..just a thought!
