Ok so I am not sure this is a cake disaster but it sure is a disaster to me. I just bought 4 new nice cake pans. Two rounds and two square since the only cake pans I have ever had were the cheep ones that rusted. My boyfriends father and mother live about 3 hours away in the mountains so on the few days that his father works down hear he stays over with us. Well they have a jeep that they want to sell and that I am thinking of buying so they are keeping it at our house. For some reason it is leaking oil, not too bad but a little bit. This morning when I walked out of the house to leave and happened to look under the jeep I noticed that one of my new cake pans was being used as an oil catch. I know the concert is more expensive but there are several old rusted pans that I can't use to cook in and it is just heart breaking to even think about it. The pans really are not that expensive but they have barely had the chance to live and have not been able to make a really decent cake!

Sorry I just had to vent a little bit, it was a painful site to see.

Oh my!! I can not believe that!! I cringed when I read that the cake pan was catching oil. Maybe you should make him go buy you new ones Good luck & keep us posted.

my kids have done this to me sooooo many times!! not only cake pans though, ive found roasting pans , all types of dishes and pyrex,silverware you name it!! mostly they take them outside with all the scraps and are supposed to give it to the dog-IN HIS DISH--but just leave the dish with the scraps or my youngest will use the cereal bowls ,mixing bowls, silverware--whatever to make mud cakes or dirt castles!!

i definately feel your pain!!

Maybe he is repayment for all the mud cakes I made when I was little.
