Hello, everyone! I have seen some lovely websites that show baskets and favors and centerpieces to hold and present cookies for wedding and baby showers and other events.

I would like to see what some of you have done, if you don't mind. Especially, if anyone has made centerpieces with the cookies... I would love to see them.

I may have to do some, in addition to the baby shower cake, I need some ideas.

Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

A.C. Moore and Michael's sell baskets in various sizes that are in the shape of bassinets.........I used one for baby shower cookie pops........I put a foam block in the bottom of the basket and then white tissue paper over top and kinda coming out the sides.....(looked like a blanket) and then stuck the cookie sticks into the foam ......the cookies were of babies so it was perfect! Everyone at the shower loved the basket ......and I let the mom to be take it home after and she was thrilled......she planned on using it to store some smaller toiletries for the baby in the nursery and was glad to have a way to keep them handy but in a container that was fitting in the babies room.

Thank you for the idea!

I still have to visit the place where they are doing the shower to see how many tables they are going to have....

I recently did a cookie bouquet for the birth of a baby- and used a child's plastic sand bucket. (just purchased it at the local drug store) It turned out cute.

You can go to a paint store and get the paint buckets with the handles on them that don't have labels and decorate them yourself to personalize them.

Here's a centerpiece I did for a Mickey lovers bday party. We had red, yellow and black ballons coming out of the center of the bouquets. I painted clay pots yellow and added Mickey stickers. I used cookies and chocolates for these. The guest of honor loves yellow - that's why I used so much yellow in the decor.

Thank you so much for all your advice. The event is today so I feel like I have given birth to everything because I've been planning the decorations, cake and stuff for a while.

Anyway, as soon as I get it done I will post the pics! icon_smile.gif
