ntertayneme,

Could you please give me the directions on how to make crocuses? Your course III cake is amazing!

I second that! I love the flowers and I have been wanting to do something like tulips or crocus. I would love to know how you you did them.

Thanks,
Cindy

OK... if ntertayneme isn't online today, does anyone else have the instructions for the crocuses?

So... after looking at another post on the form...

Are crocuses just small tulips? Are are there more specific instructions on how to make crucuses?

Sorry, I just got online. I used the rose cutter in the Wilton gumpaste set. And I made these out of gumpaste. You cut and lay 3 petals in a large lily nail that you line with foil; brush very lightly with a mixture of 1 teaspoon of meringue powder mixed with 5 teaspoons of water. Then lay 3 more inside the 3 bottom petals in between the others. I got the instructions from the Wilton 2000 year book.

If you have any more questions, please let me know! icon_smile.gif

Crocus are a lot like tulips but smaller and their petals are pointier at the top. Each petal is sort of oval. If you do a Google search there are some pictures out there.
