I have to deliver 200 cupcakes and a wedding cake..and have been trying to figure out the best method. I have those wonderful inserts from country kitchen, which holds 12 cupcakes and fits in a 1/4 sheet box. But then I would have like 17 boxes!!! How do you transport huge amounts of cupcakes or is this the only way? Those inserts are 10x14..should I try to lay them side by side in a full sheet?

I probably would do a sheet box and push them close together or space a little so you don't mess them up (depends on the decorations).

I have never done this many before, but I would think that this would be the easiest way to transport them.

I use a sheet box but put some towels down in the bottom of the box first - that way they don't slide in the box. I think each box will hold around 5 dz cupcakes.

I would reinforce a larger cake box w/cardboard then I would place a single row of packing peanuts around the entire edge. I would also place one packing peanut between each cupcake so the sides are not touching. I've never done it and I can see where this would take a little more time but an ounce of prevention... Let me know if this helps or, if you decide to use the idea, if it works.

Thats a good idea..I have very heavy full sheet boxes (they are heavier then regular cake boxes) I wonder if I put the none slip stuff on the bottom it would help?

They are going to be piled high with buttercream and I can't have them falling over..

I read somewhere that some put a dab of BC under each cupcake and they won't slid.

I would line the box with the nonslip shelf liner.
