CAN'T WAIT! I am about 15-20 minutes away from Wilton. I have been looking forward to this for months!

Only one hitch ...we are redoing our kitchen on June 3rd - June 10th. How sad, I might miss some of the great early deals!! (I suppose though that getting a new kitchen is probably better than getting a pan or two at half price, huh?) icon_lol.gif I'm so excited!

Can you tell us more about it? I live in IL so that would be something I would be interested in going to. What's on sale, etc. thanks!

I'm planning on going! bikegal, if you look on Wiltons site, under events, you'll see a better description of what they will be selling.

I got an email this morning and I would love to go but I live on the other side of the world. I can only imagine what would be on sale and the wonderful savings. Wilton products are fairly expensive here and if I had the opportunity to attend I can only imagine the damage that I would do to my purse.

I'm SO jealous!! Some day I'm going to make a trip to Chicagoland around that time just to go to the tent sale!

Is it as crazy there as I would think it will be?

I live in Michigan--go it would be quite a roadtrip. It would spend more on gas than it would be worth the deals. That's why I need to plan a vacation around the Tent sale! lol!

There are some nice hotels in the Chicago area and some really cool malls. My husband and I went to this one mall that I think is southwest of one of the airports, it was HUGE! They had all kinds of stores in it (including my personal favorite- Frederick's of Hollywood), and there was even a tailor shop in the mall. And we found a nice men's clothing store called Bachrach.... sorry getting off of the subject..
ok, just yahoo mapped it and it would be about a 2 hour drive for me...maybe I can get my best friend to go with me icon_twisted.gif

I've been to Chicago a couple of times--I LOVE it!! It's probably my favorite city! Problem is--dh HATES anything that resembles a city. It's going to have to be a "girls" trip. Now--I just have to figure out which girlfriend to con into it! lol!

I live in the burbs outside of Chicago, i am about 50 min from wilton. I avoid the city as much as I can. there is a lot to do but I am just not a city girl. My dh loves it and work in chicago. He is always telling me that when are girls are gone he want to move them. I always tell him he will be moving by himself...lol

But I am so excited about wilton. I have been making a list for months now.

I live about 5 minues from Wilton. The tent sale is a great opportunity to stock up on things that you would need. Every year they hold one the beginning of June. All the items that Wilton makes and sells are usually discounted 40-50% off, sometimes more if it's a special. They have all the cake and candy making supplies, including pans, cake boards, wedding cake setups, spatulas, colors, cardboards, decorating sugars, fondant, candy melts -- just about anything. They also have all their kitchen products and picture frames at the sale. The stock changes daily. Once something is sold out, they replace it with something else. My daughter and I usually make 3-4 trips each year since we are so close. My daughter picked up all the pan sets (square, round, hexagon, etc.) for about $16.00 each. Needless to say, it's hard on the budget. For those of you thinking about coming -- there are some hotels/motels closer than Chicago right off the interstate which makes it easy to come and go. They are located in Bolingbrook and Lisle right off of the interstates. If you don't live too far away, it's definitely worth the trip.

Lisa, I think the mall you are talking about is the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. It's really built up around there now. There's an IKEA, and a large strip mall there too with specialty stores.

Lisa,

I am in Canton, how about we ditch the DH's and in my case, the kid and just take off??? icon_lol.gif I am sure no one will miss us until they get the credit card bill in the mail!

I am so bumbed that my brother (who lives in Chicago) is moving to Las Vegas this month! HELLO, there are no WILTON SALES IN LAS VEGAS! Oh well. When I told DH about it, he suggested that we go next year, we just don't have time for it this year.

Dare to dream

Melissa
