In my course two class we used Royal Icing for the flowers on the end cake, not buttercream. Not sure if your class is different or not.

Hope that helps.

If your instructor is teaching the same as mine you won't be using BC. You'll be using royal icing and color flow. These are the flowers you can make up and basically save forever haa haa. Have fun tonight! I loved course two.

You do use buttercream the first night and throw away those flowers. You start using the royal icing next week and save those for the last class. I just finished course 2. It was a great class!! Have fun.

all of the flowers in 2 are very easy to learn. Most of what you do will have templates to follow. You will not have any problems. Oh and you do a rose in course 2, Victorian rose. Same idea you just use a different tip, 97. It is my fav. rose tip anyway.

I still have some of the flowers from course 2, they do last forever, but I don't think they taste too good. You'll really like course 2.

momof3,

There is a victorian rose in course 2, but I like making it much better than I do the wilton rose. I really think that you will enjoy course 2. Good luck.

I found most of the flowers in course 2 to be pretty easy except that darn victorian rose. I just can't make buttercream roses. I started course 3 last week and we made the fondant rose last night. Now that rose, I can make!! I have to say that the mum in course 2 is a flower I will probably never make again. Too much effort for very small effect I think. Hope you enjoyed the first class!

I agree with Sweeterbug1977, I can make the victorian rose but the other one I never could!!!
