How to keep your hand sticky free with MMF

Wear non-latex disposable gloves, spray a little pam on them... and your hands will not get sticky and the MMF (marshmallow fondant) will not stick to your gloves.
I made MMF for the first time today, it's just like making bread dough. It was pretty easy. To help keep it from sticking to my countertop, I sprayed the counter top with Pam, and then sprinkled a little powdered sugar on top of it. It worked great, and I used my non-latex disposable gloves (like the ones you see in first aid kits or at the doctors office, got mine at walmart- next to the band-aids), and I did not have any stick"y" problems. thumbs_up.gif

Hmmm, I'll have to try that out next time, and spraying Pam seems alot easier than smearing Crisco. Thanks for the tip!!

The gloves are a real good tip, especially if you are adding color now, I didn't use them and had very pink hands for a few hours. The Pam spray is also good, (I do have the Crisco spray, I think it smells better than Pam), and less gooey than the solid Crisco.

You just mentioned the weather there in another post, I think that may have a lot to do with the stickiness of the MMF as well. Janice

No problem! thumbs_up.gif
I like to use the disposable gloves in the kitchen alot. Like when I make hamburger patties, when I put raw meat on the grill, coloring fondant... the list goes on and on.
