To make the filling stay between the layers for icing, you'll need to pipe a "dam" of icing around the edge of the layer you're going to fill first!

Just take a really big, round tip and pipe your buttercream around the inside top edge of your layer. Your "dam" should be about 1/2 inch in diameter. Then pour your filling into the area you've made.

Place your next layer on, then frost.

Hope this helps!

Have you checked the copycake website? I would google "lime cake recipe" and see what pops up.

Good luck

Also check www.recipezaar.com. You enter the recipe name that you want and it pulls up all sorts of recipes. Good luck!
