Hey Flavy, I'm frankly a little disappointed in ACDM, it is pretty much like all magazines now, they have to have lots and lots of advertising to keep going. This last issue was better than the previous one, though, so maybe the first issue I got was just an off month. I just love looking at the cakes! Janice

MBN - Mail Box News
ACDM- American Cake Decorating Magazine

They can both be found on AmericanCAkeDecorating.com. They are cake cake magazines. I only get ACDM, but would like to get the other one also.

I saw that buffalo cake too. It looked more like a really hairy deer don't you think? I'm getting a subscription to MBN next. ACD does have way too many adds and not enough cakes.

Thank you, Lisa! I was definitely feeling like that! There was one ad that I went back to!

Remember, Mochaboi was asking about the bling, bling? (I pm'd him about this). On page 54 of Apr/May ADC there is an ad for flowers, heart shapes, and monograms out of swarovsky crystals made specially for cake decorations. They are pretty expensive, but if you look at them as an investment in a keepsake, might not be too bad. Definite Bling Bling! Their website is www.crystalmonograms.com, if you want to take a look.

Wonder if I should have put this in a separate posting? Janice

Have you seen the ads for SugarVeil? Now that is some really cool icing. You have to see this stuff if you haven't yet.

On my Cake Fun page, I also posted a pic of a wedding dress they made completely out of icing! Amazing!

LOL...we don't like the ads but I guess they work.

No but I sure want to! I saw it on a dessert expo on Food Network too. She combed some lines, added a few dots and then pulled up a stretchy net of icing. I wonder if it's a secret recipe or if we can find out how to make it ourselves?
