Thanks ge - guess I'll stop looking up cakes for people now - this whole experience was way too embarrassing (and yes, I too accessed the naughty pics to see what everyone else was talking about - and I'm horrified !)!

bonjovibabe: I don't think you should stop looking up cakes for people...maybe attach the picture in your post instead of the link so you know what's going to come up. I don't think you should be embarrassed either...it was just a mixup..no big deal thumbs_up.gif

For those who have access to the naughty gallery, the gallery pictures are ordered/positioned one way (to include the naughty pics) and for those that don't, they're positioned differently (excluding the naughty pics). The link is to a cake's position in the gallery so, depending on your access, the link may show a naughty cake to some and another cake to others. A better way to link to a gallery photo might be to right click on the picture and select Properties and then copy and paste the URL into the forum. This won't show the information that goes along with the cake so be sure to include who made it in your post.

Well, the naughty cake may not be that appetizing but wouldn't you agree it was great and realistic work?

Anyhoot, you might think about using some dried cherries and mini choc. chips in your batter. For ideas you could go to Mary Engelbreits site. Seems she uses cherries in her illustrations. Also, black forest cake has cherries in it. You could make a few marzipan ones or fondant ones if you wanted. One of the Wilton books might have the instructions on piping them. Let me know if you want the instructions and I will look for it.

OK_ I'm sorry but I am dying laughing here- I know it was not the photo bonjovibabe wanted posted and it caught me off guard when the photo opened but it also made me laugh - I know non of us thought you ment to post that but talk about a Fruedian (sp?) slip! I'm sure you were embarrassed - but you shouldn't be, we know it was a mistake and I don't mean to laugh but it was such an innocent request and I think that's what cracked me up!! Just goes to show us who the "naughty" ones on here REALLY are!! LOL - you've been busted!! Too cute! I am one of the Naughty one's too - I saw the naughty version!! (I've been busted!) icon_lol.gificon_surprised.gificon_lol.gificon_surprised.gif - please don't give up helping others - you are great at it! Thanks for all you do!! Completely innocent!

It is pretty amazing some of the "realistic" parts you can achieve with just cake and icing!!lol

Im gonna chime in and agree with others on this...first...thank you ge for explaining how about the pictures for naughty cake people and the not so naughty cake people!!

bonjovibabe....i think it would be silly to give up helping with links because of this.....we're big girls!! and although it was very funny....we know it wasn't your intent....

NOW.....HAD I put the link in....or GE even......then I would believe there was some mischief behind it!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

But you know as apalling or surprising as some of us may have found that cake....you have to give them full credit on the detail and accuracy to that cake!!! Dont get me wrong...its hard to look at.....but my God they did an amazing job!!! icon_eek.gif

besides think of it this way....the naughty gallery got a great boost in members today!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Whew! Ok...so I opened access to the naughty cakes out of a pure sense of responsibility (lol) because I started this thread. Well oh my!!!!!! Now I see what all the hype is about. I think I'll stick with cherries...little, round, red and sweet. Uh oh, I'm making this worse aren't I. For those of you that did offer suggestions, THANK YOU! All you others....thanks for the laughs!!!!!!!!!

What about doing sugared cherries? they wouldn't be the bright red then and still give a nice look to the cake. I know someone has posted instructions on how to sugar fruit before, but couldn't find it when i searched maybe someone else will be able to find it.

I love the sugared fruit idea. I found a website once...and I'll have to find it again! Thanks for the idea!
