A friend has requested a cherry chip birthday cake. Because I am still practicing, she has allowed me freedom with the decorating. I thought it would be cute to use cherries. Not real ones because she requested pink & green. Rather piped cherries or fondant ones. I tried to do a search on CC but kept getting an error. Thanks for reading!!!

I've never made cherries on a cake before, but here is a picture I found in the gallery that might help you.

I think that's it for cakes decorated with fake cherries - all the others have real cherries on them, hope that helps a bit though!

My Wilton Course I book has instructions on how to pipe a cherry but I just checked the site and the instructions aren't on there.

I would do it in pink and green, but still use cherries. Marichino cherries come in both red and green, and they would look cute alternated on the border, maybe a bit of the juice drizzled over them.

All the links I see are just plain ol' cherries. Am I missing something amusing? I think I must be. icon_smile.gif

How can the same link lead to 2 different (in the extreme!) photos?! icon_confused.gif Anyone have a clue?! I'm mortified that people think I'd put the other photo as an answer to Kellies request icon_cry.gificon_surprised.gif ! I don't even have access to the naughty photos gallery (never had the need to ask for it!). I am very confused!

Those of us who are seeing the naughty picture have access to the naughty gallery...I think that's why some of us can see it, & some can't.

I don't know if I was more shocked to see the pic, or to read Kellie's response that said it was exactly what she was looking for, LOL. I thought to myself, I would've enver guessed that's what she wanted, ROFL. Glad to know that it was the wrong pic!

Still doesn't explain why a naughty photo has the same link information as an innocent pic - I think someone needs to look into that, surely that shouldn't happen!?

Okay, my curiosity got the best of me. I requested access and saw it. OH MY! icon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif . Needless to say, I requested to be blocked again. LOL. It would be just my luck for DH to be drooling over my shoulder the next time!

Okay, my computer is no longer "innocent" icon_lol.gif

I signed onto the naughty page - just to see what everyone was talking about icon_redface.gif

I can't believe cakes can be made into those shapes icon_surprised.gif
My dh wants me to start baking NOW!! I have to make a couple of cakes for a Memorial day picnic on saturday - think this will work?????

After signing up for the naughty pages, I went back and clicked on the provided link and went to the naughty picture.

If you don't have access to the naughty forum then I believe the picture numbers are different than those that do. For example when I looked up cherry in the gallery..the "innocent" cherry cake & the naughty one were right next to each other. So say the innocent one is #27 for you, but its #28 for us, therefore the picture on the link is going to be different...does that make sense?
