Nope I tried that and the 2nd one had to be removed. You can only post 1 pic for the contest.

I noticed that also. I am pretty sure they will have to remove all but one. I tried to post a top view of my cake and it was removed because of the rule for 1 photo. Oh well. Good luck!

That's because of the way voting is set up. It'd be difficult to calculate your "score" if you had more than one image of the same cake posted. The way the winner is chosen is based on who gets the most "points" rather than who gets the highest rating. A rating of 1 is worth 1 point, 2 is worth 2 points and so on. At least that's the way it's been done in the past. You could post one picture that shows two views of your cake though.

I've been looking and haven't located the contest rules! Can somebody tell me where they are so that I can be sure to read them. Janice

I believe the rules are posted on the home page of the contest advertisement, up in the left hand corner of the page. Click in the Mother's Day Contest ad and check it out, I'm going there now to review them again...
if anyone finds them somewhere else please post!

yep, "Submission Rules", which I understand to be the contest rules and then "Voting Rules" tells when you can vote, and how you can vote. icon_smile.gif

LOL! Not laughing at you, but thinking I've done the same thing many times in similar situations!

Here is a quick question since the pictures are digital why couldnt you combine two pics of the same cake together? That way when you post your 1 pic you would have a top and a side view of the same cake. All it takes is a little cutting and pasting in your photo program.

I thought of that too, but I think that's skirting the rules a little. I'm not sure it's fair. What does everyone else think?

I think that the point of one 'submission' per cake is for voting reasons, like Lisa said. Meaning that they can keep track of votes per submission. If you are able to cut & paste 2 pics together into 1 submission, I don't think that is against the rules. Is it? (Can a Moderator step in here and set us straight?)

If you have the ability to do a top view or side view of the same cake (or a closeup for example) and you can combine it into one photo, that is acceptable.

What you couldn't do is combine 2 different cakes into 1 photo.
