I'm just starting out selling my cakes and I've been asked by a group of parents to do 3 full sheet cakes for 4th grade graduation. They're used to BJ's prices, so they want me to do them for $30/cake. I'd normally charge $50, since it costs me almost $20 just to bake and frost 'em. Do I do it for the publicity? I've already done a $30 full sheet for the teachers at this school, at the request of another group of parents, but this would be a different "audience." Three full sheets is such a lot of work (plus I'll be out of town a few days before the cakes are due, so I'd have to bake ahead & freeze, then scrable to frost & decorate), but over 100 parents would probably be there . . . I'd be so grateful for any and all opinions! Thanks tons.
