Hi all,

I just started a course in pulled and blown sugar, and would like to get your feedback on my work. I find all this work extremely difficult, and I am not sure I will e able to do anything once I have to stand on my own, without the teacher preparing the sugar and/or isomalt for me. Anyway, right now I am enjoying myself.

Some beautiful work of art! That swan is lovely! Is it true that you can burn your hands if not careful , when pulling the sugar?

having singned up for a class being given in September I was undecided whethe or to take it. This was a great help to me. It looks like it coud be difficult and probably something one has to keep working and studing. There just doesn't seem to be that many teachers around.

Omicake, burning your hands is one of the risks in this kind of work. We use a double layer of disposable gloves, but still, it is hoooooooot!!! I keep my lavender essential oil at hand all the time, just in case.

If this is your first work, I can only imagine what will happen in the future.

The teacher you named must be a wonderfully gifted man.
