Looks wonderful. The colors are amazing. I especially like the way you made the name.!!!!
Wow! How did you make that hot pink?? I would like to make a flamingo cake for my Aunt in PA - she loves flamingo.
HOLY FLAMINGO!!!
LOVE THE HOT PINK! what did you use to get that color??? YOUR CAKE LOOOOOOOOOOOKSSSS AWESOME/.....
I used mostly Americolor Electric Pink and I added a little bit of Super Red to it. I bought an assortment of pinks from here and they worked really well making pink, though my kitchen did look like a bottle of Pepto Bismal exploded!!
THanks everyone! It's fun now that it's DONE! It wasn't such a fun day. Yesterday was fun though, playing hookey to do the fondant figurines.
Great job!! I love the figures (I have yet to brave the world of modeling fondant into figures). Great inspiration
WOW, your cake looks GREAT!!! I love it!! What kind of fondant do you use for your figures? Do you buy it or make it? Do you add anything to it?? Yours look soooo good!!! Great job!

love, love, love this cake! you did a fantastic job! everything about it is so awesome! GREAT JOB!
I used MMF mixed with the gumpaste for the figurines. Actually, I used leftovers from the cake I made in March. It revived quite nicely and I didnt' have to make new colors, except the pink!
WOW! Great job on that cake! Imperfections???? Where???? I just LOVE the letters. Did you hand mold those too? Or did you use a cutter. Those really pop out at you. Awesome job!
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! I certainly can relate to the Pepto Bismol pink after having made all the pink cupcakes and pink elephant cakes for Relay!!!! Great Job! Love those 'mingos (as we used to call them in Miami)!

How darling!!! I love how you did the name and the hot pink, and can't forget the flamingos. It's all awesome!
The letters were handmade. I basically made them using little "snakes" of fondant and then put dots on them. I used toothpicks inserted halfway in so that they would stand up on the edge.
Love the cake. When I was little my brother nicknamed me flamingo legs. I was this tall very skinny little girl with nobie knees. The nickname is still a family joke 28 years later. I have to show my brother this cake. Awsome job
