2nd birthday for Twins

There are going to be about 30 people there. WHat sizes should i do? I want to to rounds or should i do a sheet cake? Since this is for a dear friend and her sister decorates cakes i want to do something really cool!

Please help. I know it has been asked but the search function is not working. How much does a 10" feed?

Also how do i go about getting reimbursed from my dear friend. I know that she still wants her girls to get a present but i'm kind of hoping that she'll repay me for supplies....

Am i being rude?

Here is a link for estimate on serving sizes and different sized pans.

Even though they're twins, I'm sure they may have different interests. Doing two separate cakes, tailored to each girl may be nice.

No, I don't think you're rude to ask for money for supplies. What about asking your friend for the money up front, before you start baking? Tell her you want to do special cakes and that you plan to still buy gifts.

Hope this helps.

I'm doing a wedding cake that I'm just charging her for supplies, I called her and asked about her budget without saying "you owe me money" Just say you're heading out to get supplies and wondered if there was a price range you should consider. Very subtle and polite. You could also mention that while you're out shopping you'll be looking for the girls gifts and ask for any ideas.
