I searched for anything close to this and couldnt' find anything. I am hoping someone has an answer.

Has anyone ever used strawberry pop in their cake mix? In theory i think it would work (replacing some or all of the water) and it would give it a bit more of a flavor. I have a strawberry cake for sunday and picked up the strawberry mix. However i think on it's own it just doesn't have enough of a flavor.

Anyone every tried it? Any suggestions on if you think it will work? it is for a family order so i know i can experiment, however if someone has tried it and it didnt' work then i dont' want to have a failed attempt icon_sad.gif

I appreciate anyones help.

Putting in Stawberry jello works well. No more added liquid needed.

I usually substitute 7-Up for the water in cake mixes, so I think that strawberry pop would work, too. It makes the cake really moist.

Mjulian~I have tried that before and it does work great! i just don't have any on hand, and happen to pick up some strawberry pop yesterday.

Jenni27~Thanks for the experience. I will probably try this this weekend (if the pop isnt' gone when i go to make the cake) Can't wait to find out what the flavor is.
