I've visited the website of a place in chicago that is a shared commercial kitchen where one can rent out space as needed. Does anyone know of something similar in Maryland?
Maryland completely bars using a private home kitchen to make commercial food products (understandably), but I'm at a loss as to how to start on a scale small enough to get my feet wet without throwing a huge amount of money into renting a space full time.
How did you all start?

I live in MD and because of the requirements, I don't sell, only do cakes as a hobby - I'm pretty new to it, actually!
Maybe somone else can offer a suggestion...
I am from MD as well and was told that there were some places. It depends on what part of MD you are in though, because I think they're mostly in DC and northern VA.
