Gumpaste People??

i am going to try making gumpaste tomorrow and was just wondering if you can make people out of it...is it easy to work with?? i'm always using fondant and want to try my hand at gumpaste!! icon_biggrin.gif

gum paste is not as soft as fondant....its a little more stiffer..im sure that you can make most of the same stuff.....for flowers the gumpaste set faster and hold the shape better when rolled out thinner ....but for other stuff I like fondant better

is this the gumpaste made with tylose??? i have a recipe that doesn't use that. will that make a difference?

yes you can make people out of gumpaste. I have started using sculpty clay books for directions.

For people I would use fondant with a bit of tylose added. It dries hard but gives you a much longer working period than gumpaste which dries really quickly.
