Hi guys! Okay, this is my first cake and my first BCT. Please let me know what you think. Honest opinions only because I can't learn if you just try to be nice. icon_smile.gif

Good job ! How did you find making BCT ? Did you have any problems ?
I'm sure Justin was very happy to see his cake !

The BCT was actually easier than I thought it would be. The left side of the cake was chocolate and the right side of the cake is yellow ( per b-day boys request) lol He was very happy and wanted to know what the Hulk was made out of and was extremely happy to know he could eat it!

I'm very happy for you ! Because when I did my first BCT , my icing wasn't sticking to my wax paper...so I had some problems lol...but it still turned out ok..

It's so fun to see peolpe reactions when looking at the cake !

I don't think the problem was you, I had a picture both times!

Your first cake turned out very well indeed! Janice

I did this like 2 weeks ahead of time. When I went to put it on the cake yesterday a little piece of his shoulder broke off but it was easy to put back on and you could barely tell. All that mattered was my nephew loved it!

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.... I hope the others I have to do turn out even better. I have to do a 3-d cruiser car for my nephew saturday, I have to do a cake for my mom and MIL for Mother's day. I am soooo stressed about it all. My mom wants a hat cake and my MIL wants a lighthouse cake. icon_rolleyes.gif Will let everyone know how it turned out! Cakegal.... I just used 2 biscuit pans and put chocolate in 1 and yellow in the other. Pretty simple!

Great job! I have yet to do my first BCT, which I am still willing to do it, but just need some directions or instructions on how to do it. I know you need wax paper, paint brush, uh, but not sure of the rest of what I need and how to do the BCT. Thanks!

http://www.ivyjoy.com/coloring/search.html is where I get most of mine but you can type in online coloring pages on your search engine and it brings up lots of stuff. Let me know what you need and maybe I have it.

I think the BCT turned out great. I've yet to attempt one. I have my picture selected, and bought some clear glass to tape the pictures to, but am still working up the courage. I hope to do it soon.

Krazykross and nanni... The BCT is much easier than you think as long as you have a good picture.

2cakes.... good luck with your search!

Thank You all for the vote of encouragement because I was afraid I would get alot of negative feedback because you are always more critical of your own work.

Yes, everyone is more critical of their own work-we don't look through the eyes of reallity sometimes-I think fear is a factor-that's why we post-to get a real picture-don't ever be afraid of the feedback and just remember that if it's not always as pleasant as we like-it's always meant in an honest and affectionate manner-everyone here had a starting point in their cake lives and we all learn everyday from one another! I am even more anxious to try the BCT since you say it is pretty simple-as with anything, I am sure it takes practice!!
