Ohhhh, you have to try the mint oreos dipped in mint chocolate!! SOOOOO GOOD!!!
I also just LOVE the peanut butter oreos dipped in the wilton peanut butter melts!! OMG!!!
Nummy, nummy! Can't wait to try these new combos!!!
jescapades - Your chocolate covered mice are absolutely adorable!!! I love them! Great Job. However, they look very complicated. Would you mind sharing how you did these? I would love to try them.. Thanks
I have a Relay for Life fundraiser to do in May, and we are having a bake sale. I have the ribon molds and thought i would do some with a pink ribon.
I made these (there's a pic in my photos) using the new strawberry milkshake oreos. Pink ribbon, white coating and pink oreo filling.
I love the cookies you made with the pink ribbons. Too cute. We live in a small town, but i'll definately have to see if i can find those strawberry milkshake oreos. I bet they are wonderful and would be great for people like my hubby who don't like chocolate (go figure LOL). Thanks for sharing your pics.
Sorry, But what is this new oreo fad????
LOL!! They are yummy! There are a few companies selling molds to make perfectly covered cookies. You can just dip them in melted chocolate, but the molds make them look so nice and smooth. I just tried this a few days ago with the molds and they are yummy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been looking everywhere for the boxes to hold three oreos. How did you make the mice. They are adorable. I agree with others, if the box cost .91 each, then you should charge more than $3.00. Don't worry about being too high. You can easily get $4.00. People will think they are so cute and not really be too concerned with the price.
Jescapades, do you mind sendin the instructions on how you did the mice. They are adorable.
Thanks, Linda
sure thing. they are super easy.
all you need is:
marschino cherries with stems
milk chocolate candy melts (i actually use nestles milk chocolate chips)
hershey kisses
sliced almonds
writing gel
rinse and dry the cherries very well
melt the chocolate
dip the cherry into the chocolate up to the stem and place on waxed paper
let it sit for a few seconds, then place a kiss in front for the head
place two sliced almonds on top for the ears
let the whole thing dry and set up, then pipe eyes and a nose!
viola, you have chocolate mice!
Your Oreo's are perfect!!! I definately wouldn't charge less than $3. I am sooo Jealous!!!! I have been wanting to do these forever!!! I just moved from Ohio to Connecticut and these are on my list to try as soon as I get my kitchen set up.....the mouse idea is adorable as well!!!
I was so excited to get my molds yesterday until I tried to make them
Can I ask everyone what they're using to make these? I used straight chocolate chips, which is why I think everyone's fingers were coated in chocolate after the first bite.
I think I read somewhere that people used half melts and half chips. Anyone do this? I want so badly to do these, but don't want them melting all over!!!
Jessica, yours look perfect!! What did you use??
jessieb. i use the make n mold candy wafers that i get from ac moore. i also add in a little bit of paramount crystals. i never use chocolate chips, those always seem to bloom on me.
good luck!
thanks so much - I'll give that a shot, but what are paramount crystals?
sorry for the questions
paramount crystals are flakes of shortening. i get them online at www.onestopcandle.com.
