Ok.. WOW
I would have Such a hard time cutting into that cake. I wonder how long it really took. That cake is amazing!!
Wow. (actually, other words came to mind, but I don't think I can type them here. )
Though, I must say, knowing that it was going to be a baby and seeing her take that knife to its neck made me a little uneasy.
And she looks like she's tickling it with the paintbrush.
Wow!! I also don't know if I coudl cut that cake... eeek! I'd feel like I was going to kill it it looks so real! Simply amazing..
oh that is just too dang cool. Did you see the sun setting and rising if fast motion? That must have taken FOREVER! Man I wish I could have that kind of talent! Thanks for sharing!
That's amazing, but I agree, I would be too freaked out by how real it looks to cut it! lol!
Someone posted that link awhile back and I'll stick to my feeling that people and animals should NOT be made into cakes. Even on ace of cakes they said that they didn't like doing them and that it's a little "twisted" and I've SEEN how people avoid cutting heads and such....
The baby ones and especially the pregnant belly - NO WAY... for some reason I don't feel that way about the heart shaped corset/teddy cakes, but maybe that's because they still aren't THAT real looking, but babies and real looking dogs/cats and preggo bellies - I'll never make them!

I'll admit that this is just awesome; however, how many layers of fondant did she use? How could you possible serve that cake? Most people I know and bake for just dont like fondant. Surely that cake is just for show. Such talent! And here I am worrying about how to carve a race car. LOL
OHHHHHH MYYY GOSHHH! That was cool! That is funny about the sun rising and setting in the background. It must have taken forever!!! But it was cool seeing how she did each step!!
Well, beings she is in the UK I think it was a fruit cake covered with marzipan (the yellow stuff) and then she covered it with fondant.
That baby cake is creepy. I don't like things with faces (dolls, statues), they just creep me out.
Yeah.
I thought it was waaaaay cool how she did it too.
But the baby was too real looking and I too could not get myself to put a knife through it.
What a wonderful talent to have though.
I saw the cake in real life as it was shown at the Birmingham cake show in November last year - it looks as good close up as it does on the video. It is creepy though. Amazing artistry.
That was amazing. I think I now have something else to post about on the phobias thread, though.
Did you see the 20 million dollar cake they show on you tube?? Here it is..

I agree with most of you--I just can't imagine hacking into such a realistic-looking baby.
My favorite cakes are still the ones that look like cakes.

My thoughts exactly. Amazing talent.....but a little creepy at the same time.
