National Sea Monkey Day? There's a day for everything! I remember those things. I just loved them when I was a kid.


I like the idea of Moms and also Memorial Day.

I like memorial day. Remembering our heroes.

MystiqueFire wrote that May 1st is Mother Goose Day, I think nursery rhymes would be a neat theme!
Of course Mom's favorite things would be nice...and remembering loved ones (Memorial Day) is always good but all I can think of for that is flowers!!!

Ooh I didn't see Mother Goose Day. That would be a neat one to do too. Hmm, now I have to think which one I would vote for.

May 5th is Cinco de Mayo (and my birthday!)

May 8th is also National Teacher's Day, what a great excuse to make cookies and give them to the teachers as an appreciation for a job well done!

I also LOVE the Mother Goose idea. Okay, I'm not saying anything else til I finish my April cookies.

I love Mother Goose idea. There could certainly be lots of different cookies.

My three votes are: Mom's, birds, and wildflowers.

(and yes, I'm still working on some royalty cookies but I'm recovering from a minor surgery so it may overlap into May before I get to post, if that's okay.)

Love a tree day????? Did anyone see that movie SUPERSTAR with that girl from saturday night live? She played this geeky girl, Mary Catherine Gallagher who wanted nothing more than to be an actress and to be kissed by someone. so she got cought one day by a nun at her Catholic school "loving" the tree to practice kissing.
It was hysterical! Are these days for real? Where did you find this info at? Please tell me you made it up. Well if not I guess the truth really is stranger than fiction.

I didn't make it up...I swear (some of them I wish I did...). I have a calendar that at the begining of every month, lists the wacko and bizzare holidays and national _____ days for that month, Some are a hoot!!! I'll post at the begining of each month!!

That would be great! I think we should do something that will make people laugh this month. Put a twist on things and make it funny.
