But it turned out OK! lol. I was making the DH White cake mix with adding instant pudding and sour cream. Well --- I dumped the pudding mix in and then happened to look at the box and discovered --- I had added the cooked kind instead of the instant! icon_redface.gif There was no way I was getting that back out of there, so I decided just to finish the batter and see what happened. I used marashino (spelling?) cherry juice as part of the liquid, chopped up about 1/2 a cup of cherries and about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of chopped walnuts. I made a vanilla buttercream icing and added a few drops of bavarian cream flavoring. Thank goodness everything turned out! I hate wasting ingredients and having to throw things out! Now we know! The cooked pudding mix works too! thumbs_up.gif

Good to know! thumbs_up.gif
My boo-boo for tonight is that I have a 10" filled cake due tomorrow morning, and at 9:30 pm I realized that I'd made a 6" instead! I don't know what made me think it was a small cake. Now it's 10pm and I'm waiting on the freshly baked cake to cool before I can move forward! ugh! I"ll be up all night! icon_cry.gif

sunlover00, don't you just hate it when something like that happens? 1 step forward and 2 steps back! Good luck. Hope you get to bed sometime tonight!

You won't believe this!
I finally got the cake done. I took it in to work only to find out that she did not come in because her son broke his leg over the weekend! Now the super-fresh cake is in the freezer! icon_mad.gif

Oh well....that's business!
