Ive been baking for about 50 people a few times and keep wrestling with different recipes for a simple sheet cake that i fill with various things but the cake never comes out as good as I want. Does anyone have a good recipe for a simple sheet cake? Mine always taste too floury.. is that a word? ha

I have used my yellow cake layers on an 11 x 15 cake once with no problem. I believe I doubled the recipe. The 11 x 15 pan holds 11 cups of batter and serves about 44.
